Authentication Help

Photo Mechanic now requires online activation before you can use it. If your computer is connected to the Internet, then all you need to do is click on the Yes button from within the Activation dialog, after your password information has been entered into the Registration dialog (not shown here).

If your computer is not connected to the Internet, or your Firewall is preventing Photo Mechanic from connecting to the Authentication Server, then you should see the dialog below.

By clicking the OK button, you should be returned to the Activation dialog. Please follow the steps provided in the Manual Activation section below.

Manual Activation:

In order to manually activate Photo Mechanic, you must have the Challenge Code that Photo Mechanic has generated for your computer. To do this, you must click on the Cancel button from within the Activation dialog (shown in Figure 1).

You should now be looking at the Registration Authentication dialog. This dialog supplies you with the Challenge code that you will need to activate Photo Mechanic on your computer, as well as a list of options on how to activate PM.

3) From another computer or phone that has Internet access:

Please visit: http://www.camerabits.com/auth, then enter the Name or Company, Department, and Challenge code information shown in the Registration Authentication dialog to the appropriate fields in the web page and click Submit. Once the data has been generated from our website, enter the Validation Key provided into the Registration Authentication dialog and click the OK button.
